The IHF Super Globe is an international tournament for club teams. The current club champions/representatives from all continents as well as the reigning champion, the host team of Al Sadd and one wild card team to be nominated by the IHF are eligible to compete in this championship.
1.1 Local organiser
The Super Globe is an IHF event. The IHF transfers the right to the Qatar Handball Association to organise the event. The Qatar Handball Association is acting as the local organiser.

The IHF Super Globe will take place
from 25 – 28 August 2017
in Doha, Qatar.
The official arrival day for the teams is 24 August, the departure day 29 August 2017.
1.3 Venue
The 2017 IHF Super Globe matches will be played at the Qatar Handball Association Headquarter (Duhail Sports Hall)
2.1 Participants
Representatives from all over the world have qualified trough their corresponding qualification events to participate at the 2017 IHF Super Globe in Qatar. To that end, the teams competing at the event are composed as follows:
