At the early age of 17, Romero concluded his first contract with Valladolid. After playing for León and Ciudad Real, the versatile back court player transferred to the FC Barcelona in 2003. The right-hander became Spanish Champion and Cup Winner. He also won the Champions League with Barcelona and scored more than 600 goals for the “Selección”.
