3rd place at Olympic Games 2008

Malmagro made the breakthrough at exactly the right time. Whereas he was “only” a Spanish substitute at the ECh 2008, he was part of the team at the Olympic Games in Beijing and was therefore among the happy few who returned from Beijing with a medal. The back court player, who started his career in the Spanish league at Granollers, now plays for San Antonio, where he at first was supposed to support the Slovenian Renato Vugrinec in the right back position. However, he mainly plays in the centre back position – which is rather unusual for left-handers.
