With nine fingers to success: Cupic is a good example of willpower. In the preparation for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, the right wing player had an accident and lost two phalanges of his left ring finger. Cupic missed out on Beijing, but he was determined to continue training and celebrated a comeback. At the World Championship in Croatia, Cupic showed a brilliant performance in the semi-final, and at the 2010 European Championship he was one of the outstanding scorers, too. Cupic’s idols played for Croatia as well: Irfan Smajlagic and Mirza Dzomba.
