Two IHF Super Globe debutant teams meet for the Final, while the reigning champions play Sydney University Handball Club for bronze.

Finals
Final – Füchse Berlin vs MKB-MVM Veszprem 20:00 local time
Füchse Berlin knocked out mighty Barca to make their way to the Final, proving with their last-second win that a handball game lasts for 60 minutes. They trailed by three at half-time and chased all the way through the second period to claim the advantage with a penalty goal by Bjarki Elisson after the buzzer.
Petar Nenadic is their leader in attack, contributing eight goals against Barcelona to be a vital part of his team’s achievement. They also look to newcomers Drago Vukovic and Kent Robin Tonnesen.
MKB-MVM Veszprem come into the Final after a win against Sydney Uni in their Semi-Final, though they did not dominate as much as might have been expected. Similar to their Quarter-Final game, the Hungarian team were not quite their best in the Semi-Final, but they finished with the victory – and a win is a win.
Veszprem have a long list of big names on their side, including Laszlo Nagy, newcomer Aron Palmarsson, Momir Ilic – the top scorer of the previous two VELUX EHF Champions League seasons, and Roland Mikler.
Bronze Medal Match – FC Barcelona vs Sydney University Handball Club 18:00 local time
Füchse Berlin destroyed FC Barcelona’s Final hopes in the dying seconds of their Semi-Final game on Tuesday 8 September, and so the VELUX EHF Champions League winners find themselves in the bronze-medal play-off.
With a squad list like theirs, which boasts an impressive number of world-class players including the likes of Filip Jicha, Kiril Lazarov, Victor Tomas, Gudjon Valur Sigurdsson and the strong goalkeeping talents of experienced Danijel Saric along with up-and-coming talent Gonzalo Perez de Vargas, Barca likely expected to proceed to the Final and looked as though they would do so until the last few minutes of their Semi-Final. Now, the powerhouse European side will take on the much talked about Sydney Uni, who recorded their first ever win at the tournament to qualify for the Semi-Finals.
As the only amateur team at the Super Globe, reaching the bronze-medal match is a momentous achievement for Sydney Uni. But now they have shown they are capable of playing alongside the best – though they lost their Semi-Final against Veszprem it was not a one-sided game until the last quarter.
Diego Llorente Llamazares has been the standout player so far for Sydney Uni, leading the team’s attack in both games, while Tomasz Szklarski shot three from three and Pierre Bonnin proved a big threat on the line against Veszprem.
