The 2015 IHF Super Globe begins today (Monday 7 September) in Doha, Qatar, with club teams from five continents playing for the ultimate international club title.
IHF officials and nominees arrived in Doha ahead of the squads and the final preparations have been completed over the past few days. Referees and Technical Delegates of the IHF began their programme on Sunday the 6th, with video analysis and lectures for referees – as is the standard practice at all major international championships.
The IHF referees for the 2015 Super Globe are:
Mohamed Samir Rashed / Tamer Elsayed (EGY)
Majid Kolahdouzan / Alireza Mousaviannazhad (IRI)
Romeo Stefan / Bogdan Stark (ROU)
Nikolay Volodkov / Evgeniy Zotin (RUS)
Nenad Krstic / Petr Ljubic (SLO)
The teams will play their opening matches tonight – three games will be followed by the opening ceremony and the final match of the day after that. The 2015 edition of the tournament sees a new knock-out format, where the first day of matches are considered the quarter-finals, with the winners of those matches proceeding to the semi-finals.

The final item on the agenda before games begin was the Technical Meeting, where team officials were briefed on organizational matters, pre and post-match procedures, doping controls and other miscellaneous items.
