The IHF Disciplinary Commission, chaired by IHF Executive Committee Member Sandi Sola, dealt on Friday 31 August with the incidents happened in the final minute of the Super Globe match Al-Sadd (QAT) vs. Atletico Madrid (ESP), when the players Jakov Gojun (Madrid) and Issem Tej (Al-Sadd) received direct red cards with report. Player Jakov Gojun was suspended for one match at IHF club  competition events after Atletico Madrid made an appeal against the origin decision of the Disciplinary Commission. This appeal was dealt by the IHF Jury, headed by Mr Joel Delplanque. Player Issem Tej (Al-Sadd) is suspended for four matches at IHF club competition events by decision of the disciplinary commission. Tej is not eligible to play at the bronze final against Zamalek, while Gojun is not eligible to play the final against THW Kiel.
