The last participant of the IHF Super Globe in Doha is known: The Egyptian team El Zamalek will represent Africa in the tournament form 17 to 21 May in Qatar. El Zamalek qualified after beating the Algerian team GS Petroliers Mouloudia Club 28-27 in the African Super Cup in Burkina Faso. The Egyptians will meet the Spanish league and European Champions League winners BM Ciudad Real and Pan American winners Unopar Fel Sercomtel from Brazil.

In Group B, Al Sadd Club from Qatar will play against AHF Southern Stars from Australia and Al Sad from Lebanon.

El Zamalek won the Egyptian League 14 times, the Egyptian Cup 11 times, Excellence & Super Cup six times, the Arab Cup twice, the African Champions League six times, Cup Winners Cup twice and once the African Super Cup.

The Super Globe will take place in Doha for the next four years from 2010 until 2013.
