The IHF Disciplinary Commission, consisting of members Joel Delplanque, Ramon Gallego and Svein Olav Oie, met following the 2016 IHF Super Globe quarter-finals during which Paris Saint-Germain Handball’s Mikkel Hansen received a direct red card in the match against Esperance Sportive de Tunis.

A blue card was issued following the disqualification, and the IHF Disciplinary Commission have subsequently determined that Hansen will be banned for one match under rule 8.6 in the IHF Rules of the Game. Therefore, he will not play the semi-final against Vive Tauron Kielce on September 6.
