The IHF Beach Handball Working Group combined two events in Palmira, Colombia, to prepare for the World Games in Cali 2013 and continue their educational course. As part of the three-year plan to the World Games Cali 2013 in Colombia the IHF Beach Handball Working Group organized a Beach Handball Master Course for coaches, referees and delegates from 3 to 6 March 2011. The IHF Beach Handball lecturers Giampiero Masi and Fernando Posada educated 30 referees from Colombia, Ecuador and Mexico as well as 40 coaches from Colombia, Mexico and Costa Rica in a course under the auspices of the World Games Cali 2013 Organizing Committee.

Besides they continued working on their standardized concept of coaches’ education as well as a global curriculum. Therefore the Working Group is organizing Beach Handball Top Coaches meetings in various parts of the world. The first meeting took place in Palmira (Colombia) where the top coaches from Central and South America Antonio Guerra Peixe (Brazil), Alejandro Trejo (Uruguay), Juan De Arma (Argentina) and Carlos Centeno (El Salvador) exchanged ideas with the IHF responsible for Beach Handball coaches’ education Fernando Posada.

The next meeting of the IHF Beach Handball Top Coaches series is planned to take place in Zagreb. European Beach Handball elite coaches are invited to attend.
