Add Content...Please read the following to learn more about the ways in which the IHF uses your information before you proceed with the use of the official IHF website www.ihf.info (hereinafter referred to as ‘IHF Website’).

1. Who are we?
The IHF Website was created at the initiative of the International Handball Federation (IHF), which is based in Basel, Switzerland and is designed, developed and operated by Link Development, a company based in Cairo, Egypt.
2. What purpose does the IHF Website hold?
The IHF Website is a service platform to provide handball fans all around the world with information about activities within the handball community. Users can find rules, regulations and everything they need to know about handball just as well as pictures and details about the championships, events, projects, etc. of the International Handball Federation and its Member Federations.
3. How do we use your information?
The IHF is collecting information from you when you subscribe to our newsletter. The IHF also collects personal data when you create a user account on IHF.info.
4. What kind of information are we collecting?
If you create a user account, the IHF will ask you to provide your first name, last name, email address, login information, and password. This information will allow us to create and maintain your user account, identify you as one of our registered users. The IHF may also collect other information if you update your account (age information, country of residence, gender, photo).
5. Is your information shared with third parties?
The IHF will only provide your information to third parties in the following circumstances: (1) We share certain user information with our affiliates and service providers who work with us to offer you this handball experience; (2) The IHF may share your information with authorities or third parties when we believe that we have a legal obligation to do so and (3) we may share your information with third parties when you have given us your prior authorisation to do so.
6. Does the IHF send emails requesting your information?
Please note that the IHF does not and will not, at any time, request your credit card information, your account ID, login password or national identification numbers in a non-secure or unsolicited email or telephone communication. If you receive this kind of email, it could be an attempt to steal your identity.

7. Does this Privacy Policy work for third-party websites you can access via the IHF Website?
If any part of the IHF Website links to other websites, those websites do not operate under this Privacy Policy. If you choose to visit an advertiser or click on another third-party link (example: social media websites), you will be directed to that third party’s website which has its own privacy policy. Please note that the IHF does not exercise any control over third-party websites.
8. What are your rights regarding the information we collect?
According to the GDPR (articles 13 to 23), you have the following rights:

- the right to be informed about our collection and use of information;
- the right of access to the information the IHF holds about you;
- the right to rectification if any information the IHF holds about you is inaccurate or incomplete;
- the right to be forgotten – i.e. the right to ask the IHF to delete any personal data;
- the right to restrict (i.e. prevent) the processing of your information;
- the right to data portability (obtaining a copy of your information to re-use with another service or organisation);
- the right to object to the IHF using Your information for particular purposes; and
- rights with respect to automated decision-making and profiling.
This Privacy Policy and the way the IHF uses your information are designed to uphold those rights.
9. How can you use those rights?
a) Newsletter
Regarding the newsletter, you can decide to unsubscribe from it.
b) Other request
In order to review, correct, update, or delete the data the IHF has collected from you, please contact us by email at [email protected] or with a written notification to Peter Merian-Strasse 23, P.O. Box,
CH-4002 Basle, Switzerland.
The IHF may require you to provide verification of your identity. Any complaint can also be addressed to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or the competent Information Commissioner in the EU (where applicable).
10. Which jurisdiction and which law are applicable?
This Privacy Policy and all matters arising out of or related to this Privacy Policy shall be governed by the substantive laws of Switzerland, without regard to conflicts of laws and principles thereof.
Any controversy, claim or dispute between you and the IHF arising out of or relating to this Privacy Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Courts of the City of Basle, and each party hereby irrevocably consents to the jurisdiction and venue of such Court.
