Currently, the youth and junior teams from Mexico (MEX), Puerto Rico (PUR) and Guadeloupe (GLP) compete in the IHF Trophy North America and the Caribbean - Zone II, which takes place in Mexico and runs until 30 September.

 

 On the first day of the competition, hosts Mexico beat Puerto Rico decisively 38:11 in the youth competition.

 

In the juniors’ tournament, Guadeloupe claimed a one-goal victory in the last seconds of a thrilling match against Mexico, beating the hosts 26:25 after a seven-goal lead at half-time (17:10).

 

The best two teams of each event in Mexico City will qualify for the North America and the Caribbean Continental Phase.
