On Day 1 of the IHF Trophy Central American Zone, which is currently taking place in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, the junior and youth teams of Costa Rica claimed their first points, defeating El Salvador 24:20 and Guatemala clearly 21:9, respectively.

 

In the second match of the youth competition, El Salvador took a narrow 10:9 win against hosts Honduras in a very low-scoring match, while Guatemala’s junior team defeated Nicaragua 26:23.
