In spite of their debut loss against Poland at Group B, no one would disagree with the idea of Cuba having played an impressive match. However, on their second competition day they did not have their best performance and were beaten by China.

Centre back Eyatne Rizo still believes they can get to the next phase at the 22nd IHF Women's Handball World Championship in Denmark, while Head Coach Jover Hernandez explained to IHFtv Cuba's plan to develop their handball and talked about their disappointment for not having been able to qualify for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Cuba will face Angola today at 16.15 in Næstved.
