Serbia vs. Denmark 32:38 (15:23) 

The defending champions are on their way. After the victory in their opening match the Danish talents also beat Serbia with 38:32. But whoever  thought that this match was decided after the first half, when the team of coach Claus Hansen took a 23:15 lead, was completely wrong. In the second half the Danish dynamite suddenly became wet and the match was reopened after 50 minutes, when Serbia scored for 31:33. But than Denmark found its way back into the match and decided it with a  clear 38:32 win. Now Denmark is together with Egypt on top of group A, while Serbia is still waiting for the first victory in this tournament.

 

Group D 

Hungary vs. Gabon 29:17 (15:9) 

More than 2.000 spectators were following the match in Erd. Supported by their fans, the Hungarians took the victory by 29:17. Gabon fought brave but the host was too strong for the team from Africa. So Hungary got his second victory – not spectacular but without any difficulties. Nevertheless Gabon fought until the end and showed morale.
