Earlier this month, a mixture of students, teachers, handball players and coaches attended Handball @ School courses held in Poland, in the northern city of Gdansk and capital Warsaw.
Over 30 participants attended the course in Gdansk which was organised in partnership with the Academy of Physical Education and Sport, IHF and Polish Handball Federation. In addition, the group received handball-specialist students who will soon become physical education teachers, with Handball @ School providing a beneficial part of their ongoing training.
In Warsaw around 40 PE teachers and youth team coaches took place in a secondary school with a variety of students coming from handball, football, volleyball and basketball backgrounds wanting to develop their knowledge and implement handball within their school classes.
“After running Handball @ School in Gdansk and Warsaw it is great to know that we had so many participants who are ready to share the good spirit and passion of our game with students back in their schools,” said IHF Handball @ School Lecturer Milan Petronijevic. “I am sure that the Polish Handball Federation will use this opportunity in the best possible way to ensure a good position of our sport within their local educational system.”
