The SEHA – Gazprom League Final 4 will begin on Friday in Brest, Belarus with the semi-final stage seeing HC Vardar meet RK PPD Zagreb, before Meshkov Brest take on 2015 and 2016 champions Telekom Veszprem.

“It is our great pleasure to organise the Final 4 together with Handball Club Meshkov Brest. We are sure that the Final 4 will be an unforgettable experience for Meshkov Brest, the city of Brest, fans and Belarusian handball in general. The club is rising each year and they deserved to bring the best of the regional handball to their city and country,” said the competition’s managing director, Sinisa Ostoic.

The SEHA (South East Handball Association) League has been running since the 2011/2012 season, and features 10 teams from Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Hungary, FYR Macedonia, Slovakia and Slovenia. Alongside two-time champions Veszprem, Macedonian club HC Vardar hold the most titles with two collected in 2012 and 2014, while Zagreb raised the trophy in 2013.

“There will be four very good teams who played in the Champions League knock-out stage, so I think it will be one of the best SEHA Final 4s ever. Of course, our goal is to win the competition, but we know that Vardar, Brest and Zagreb can also win this title,” Veszprem team captain Laszlo Nagy told the club’s official website.

“We have good feelings right now. We have almost no injured players and that is very important. The semi-final against Brest will be a very hard and intense game. It is never easy to play against a team that plays at home so we have to give our best handball to beat them.”

For the first time, all matches will be streamed live and free on ehfTV.com. More information can be found on the SEHA League website.
