After
the success this past week of the four-day IHF
Coaching D Course in Manzini, IHF Lecturer Frantisek Taborsky, along with
local experts, will deliver two Handball@School courses in the African nation.
Manzini
will be first to receive the three-day programme, from Saturday 12 until Monday
14 May, while the eastern town of Big Bend will receive their three days of
activities from Wednesday 16 to Friday 18 May.
Both
programmes start with Mini Handball before progressing across the next three
days through theory and method, ball handling, passing, basic attack, small
games, basic defence, tactical games and a tournament. An evaluation wraps up
the intense 72 hours with the newly-trained coaches returning to their schools,
clubs and teams to further the sport in the country.
At
the beginning of 2018 the IHF
Handball@School Working Group met at the IHF Head Office in Basel,
Switzerland to refresh the development programme
going forward.
