From 30 May to 4 June, Busan in Korea hosted six women’s teams
representing USA, Senegal, Hong Kong, Australia, Japan and Korea in the 2018
Busan Cup International.
Self-titled as the ‘Friendly Handball Tournament’, the 2018 event was
the third edition of the championship held in the south-eastern port city.
Teams included the USA, Australia, Senegal, Hong Kong and club sides
Mie Violet Iris (JPN) and Busan Bisco (KOR) who played in the round-robin
tournament over five match days. After winning all of their matches, local team
Busan Bisco claimed the top of the podium, followed by Senegal and Mie Violet
Iris. Australia finished with zero points at the bottom of the table.
