After 30 games in the men’s junior (U20) and men’s youth (U18) tournaments, Chinese Taipei emerged victorious in both competitions of the IHF Trophy AHF: Asia – Zone IA (East and South-East Asia), held at the Kowloon Park Sports Centre, Hong Kong from Thursday 28 June until Monday 2 July.

Both tournaments featured Chinese Taipei (TPE), Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (PRK), Macau (MAC), Mongolia (MGL), Vietnam (VIE) and hosts Hong Kong (HKG) and were played in a round-robin format with teams playing each other once. 

After winning all five games in each of their groups, Chinese Taipei were crowned champions and now qualify directly through to the IHF Trophy Asia - Continental Phase competition to be held later this year.
