For the first time since 2003 the IHF organized a coaches’ course in Mongolia. IHF Lecturer Dr Frantisek Taborsky conducted this course – in theory and practice – in the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar. 30 participants – handball coaches and teachers including eleven women – were taught in all methodical matters during this five-day course. The main topic was the coaching of teams in indoor handball, beach handball and also in mini handball, which was taught by Taborsky in several theoretical, but also practical parts with players and coaches in different venues. Aside referee matters and the new IHF rules were presented as well as forms of analysing training sessions and matches and psychological issues. Frantisek Taborsky was assisted by local lecturers and Dr Jargalsaikhan, the President of the Mongolian Handball Federation.
