After an
action-packed 2018 so far, the I.R. Iran Handball Federation enters the last few months of the year having had a successful September and October, full of activities across the Asian country.
Over 171 teams and 2,440 players took part in a number of tournaments while numerous international events, national team camps, educations courses and e-meetings took place.
Regional and provincial U15, youth, junior and senior men’s and women’s tournaments were staged, alongside the ongoing women’s national super league and the Iranian men’s youth national team represented the country on the international stage in Jordan at the 2018 Asian Men’s Youth Championship, along with referees Alireza Mousavian and Majid Kolahdoozan.
National team camps for the men’s and women’s youth teams were held and one for the women’s junior team as well.
On the educational side, a wide range of coaching courses got underway including a number of refereeing and coaching courses for men and women, and, in Isfahan, a joint men’s and women’s coaching symposium was successfully held. In addition, a women’s beach handball refereeing course was held in Bandar-Anzali before a men’s and women’s coaching lecturer course completed the period in Tehran.
