Host Al-Sad and the Saudi-Arabian team Mudhar have reached the final of the Asian Club League, played in Beirut, Lebanon. Both teams narrowly won their semis: Mudhar defeated Zobahan from Iran 22:20 (12:9), and Al-Sad won against IHF Super Globe finalist Al-Sadd from Qatar 30:27 (16:16). Zobahan and Al-Sadd play the bronze final now. The rest of the ranking has been completed after the placement matches: Foolad (Iran) ranks fifth after beating Al Sadaka clearly 35:23 (17:10) and Naft Al-Janoob (Iraq) won against Al Jazeera (UAE) 40:35 (20:22) and took the seventh place.
