The
IHF and International Olympic Committee (IOC) Olympic Solidarity Course returned
to Bangladesh earlier this month, after being held last in March
2016.
From
7-16 March, 21 coaches (19 from Bangladesh and two from India) attended the course
which saw a variety of topics covered including physical preparation, 6-0
defence, attack against 6-0 defence, 5-1 defence, attack against 5-1 defence,
goalkeeper preparation, match statistics, positional shooting, crossing,
offensive blocking and much more.
The
course took place at the Bangladesh Olympic Committee (BOC) and Bangladesh
Handball Federation (BHF) in Dhaka, with both organisations providing the very
best conditions for delivery which was led by IHF expert lecturer Alireza
Habibi from Iran.
Present
at the end-of-course presentations were Abdur Rahman (Chairman of Capital
Development Corporation), Nurul Fazal Bulbul (President, BHF), Sahed Reza
(BOA), Asaduzzaman Kohinoor (Secretary General, BHF) and a number of BHF
Executive Committee members.
The
Olympic Solidarity Course in Bangladesh is the second one to be held in Asia in
March, following the course held in Oman earlier
this month.
