Almost
two years ago, at the 2nd IHF Forum for the Future of Handball in Denmark, IHF
experts came up with the idea of an educational platform for the training of coaches,
referees, players, teachers and delegates around the world. Now, it is ready –
on 5 August 2016 the IHF Education Centre was launched.
On
the platform, coaches of all performance levels find analysis data on all IHF
events. In the Tactics School, current issues related to defensive and
offensive tactics are illustrated via educational films, picture series and
animations.
Referees
of all performance levels find the latest IHF rule explanations, training
programmes for refereeing, a comprehensive video library as well as interesting
online tests including video scenes.
Players
can watch international top stars show extraordinary individual, technical and
tactical skills and learn from their role models.
Technical
Delegates find comprehensive information they can make use of before, during
and after a match. All the action going on in the course of a game is processed
in interesting case studies by means of videos and diagrams.
For
teachers, the IHF Education Centre offers comprehensive methodological
assistance and practical programmes, helping them to teach children and young
people handball at school.
In
the beach handball section, players, coaches, referees and delegates also find
practical information, animations and videos related to rules, techniques,
defensive and offensive tactics and training methods – a great opportunity to
gain an insight into the outdoor version of handball.
The
Coaches Library is a collection of international best practice, containing
practical training programmes and methodological collections of exercises for
basic, advanced and top training.
Modern
e-learning modules are part of the IHF Education Centre as well. In regular
online seminars, IHF experts present current issues related to training,
tactics, refereeing, education and event organisation.
