The Malta Handball Association (MHA) has completed the installation of the IHF approved outdoor handball court at the newly built Maria Regina Boys Secondary School in Mosta. The outdoor flooring had been donated to the MHA by the International Handball Federation (IHF) as part of its commitment to help emerging handball nations develop the game. The flooring has been professionally designed to withstand the harshest environments including the high summer temperatures in Malta.
The handball court was inaugurated by Clyde Puli, Parliamentary Secretary for Youth and Sports, in the presence of MHA President Louis Borg and Kunsill Malti Ghall-iSport Chairman Bernard Vassallo. During the ceremony Louis Borg also donated a number of handballs to the school.
“We wish to thank the International Handball Federation and President Dr Hassan Moustafa for donating the outdoor court flooring,” Borg said in his speech.
The outdoor handball court will be used by the MHA for development and training purposes, aside the school will be using the handball court during school classes.
