On the final day of the Beach Handball matches of the World Games 2013, a World Record was broken. It was officially announced that 10,304 tickets were sold for the final day of the Beach Handball matches of the World Games 2013. These magical moments in the famous Cañaveralejo Bullfighting Arena has set a milestone for the history of Beach Handball. After the 8,243 spectators in the second day of the World Games, the three-digit spectators were definitely a new World Record. For sure to break the world records twice on a top Beach Handball event within 2 days was definitely unforgettable for participants of the World Games and the history of Beach Handball. The enthusiasm and excitement of all spectators were unforgettable for the players as well as the officials.
After three days of competition more than 22,000 tickets were sold. Especially on the matches of the host team Colombia and on the finals the highest number was reached. For over 50 years the people of Cali have celebrated first class bullfights in this ring and have hosted the greatest bullfighting exponents worldwide, a reason which allowed it to be widely recognized in America and Spain. In addition to this, the ring also offers the holding of public events, sporting, cultural, educational or entertainment.
