New world record of spectators
More than 100.000 spectators visited the matches during the XVII Junior World Championship in Egypt. This is a new world record for junior tournaments. Alone the semi final match between Egypt and Denmark had 30.000 spectators.


Mait Patral - “the gunner of the tournament”
Mait Patral is the top scorer of the tournament. The Estonian was “The Gunner”     with 81 goals in 9 matches.


6 Semi-Finalists in the All star team
Six of the seven players, who was elected in to the All star team, comes from the semi-finalists. Goalkeeper Karim Hendawy have become a national hero in Egypt during the tournament. The Germans Patrick Grotzki and Andrej Kogut and also left wing David Razgor from Slovenia got a lot of votes from the coaches of all 24 participant teams. Pivot Frederik Borm from Denmark rise above all with his sensational score quote from round about 90 %. Also left back Nikolaj Markussen from Denmark made the All Star team. The only player not from the semi finalist is the brilliant right back Federico Vieyra from Argentina.
