On 22 August 2015, IHF President Dr Moustafa met with Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmitryi Rogozin and Sergey Shishkarev, President of the Russian Handball Federation.

During the meeting, they discussed the 2015 IHF Congress in Sochi in view of marketing rights and the organisation of a conference with post-Soviet countries about the development of handball. Furthermore, the Men’s and Women’s World Championships in 2021 and 2023 were addressed.
