Boy's tournament, semi final 2:

Korea - Brazil 27:22 (13:10)

After only one close defeat in the Preliminary Round against France, Korea marched on to the boy's final of the YOG in Singapore where they'll meet Egypt for an intercontinental clash for Gold. Brazil will play the Bronze final against France. For 47 minutes the second YOG semi was totally close with slight advantages for the later-on winner from Korea, cheered by the spectators from Singapore. Brazil constantly equalized the Korean lead until the score of 18:18 and kept being close until the 20:22 eight minutes before the end. But thanks to their strong final period of the match and a 5:2 series Korea secured their place in the final and made the Asian dream of a medal on Asian turf come true. All experts now expect a very close final without a big favorite. Top scorer for Korea was Hyeon Lee with eight goals, Arthur Malburg scored nine times for the unlucky South Americans that received their first defeat in this YOG tournament.
