Spain and Italy made it to the final of the Men’s U17 Beach Handball World Championship. Argentina and Russia will play for bronze as all quota places for the 2018 Youth Olympics are to be defined.

Spain defeated Taipei 2:0 (21:18 and 31:21) in the quarter-finals to advance to the semi-finals, where they beat Argentina in two sets (22:15 and 18:15). The European champions will now meet Italy in the gold medal match.

The Italians made their way to the most important match of the competition which takes place on the Mauritius sand after winning 2:0 versus Venezuela (23:18 and 22:15) in the quarter-finals. Afterwards, they succeeded in a difficult contest against Russia. The result in their favour was 2:0 (18:17 and 17:14).

The podium will be completed with Russia or Argentina, who will look forward to a bronze medal.
