With Chinese
Taipei, Russia, Spain and Italy as the top teams of each group, the IHF Men’s
U17 Beach Handball World Championship is ready to enter the Main Round
stage.

Pakistan defeated the hosts Mauritius 2:0 (24:13, 28:16) while
the top team of the group Chinese Taipei had a free day.
1- Chinese Taipei (4 pts) (advance to Main Round GI with 4
pts)

3- Mauritius (0 pts) (advance to Main Round GI with 0 pts)
Group B
Russia top Group B after beating
Thailand in two sets (19:11 and 20:16). Afterwards, Venezuela won their second
match in front of Togo (18:10 and 28:12).

2- Venezuela (4 pts) (advance to Main Round GI with 2 pts)
3- Thailand (4 pts) (advance to Main Round GI with 2 pts)

Group C
Spain finished on the top of the group after winning the
contest versus Argentina 2:1 (25:17, 13:15, SO 9:4). Previously, the Spaniards
had defeated South Africa 2:0 (26:3 and 29:4) while the ‘Albicelestes’ had
taken the points against Paraguay in two sets (20:11 and 16:12). Finally, the
Paraguayans won their first game in front of the African side 2:0 (16:6 and
26:2).

Group D
Italy earned the first position of the group after they beat
Portugal in two sets (20:18 and 27:22).
Australia celebrated versus their neighbours New Zealand in a
game which may be a key to reach the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games. They won 2:0 (15:10 and 16:10).
