As announced before, the IHF has started the bidding process for the Men’s World Championships of the years 2021 and 2023 earlier this year. After having received the letters of intent from many federations, the IHF has sent out the detailed event manual, asking the national federation concerned to confirm that they fulfil the outlined conditions and their interest in hosting the event. Following this process the following nations are still in the running for the awarding:
27th Men’s World Championship in 2021
EGY
HUN
POL
28th Men’s World Championship in 2023
SWE
The next step in the bidding process is a meeting of the bidders in Basel on 08 May 2015 in order to present their bid and to discuss further details. The federations will then have one month to amend their bid before presenting it to the IHF Council for awarding on 4 June 2015 in Budapest.
