The International Handball Federation and the Danish Handball Federation have confirmed the date of the draw for the Women’s Handball World Championship which will take place from 5 to 20 December 2015 in Denmark.

The draw will take place on 24 June, on a venue to yet to be determined and after all the continental qualifications for this Event have been played.

24 teams in 4 groups of six will face off against each other in Kolding, Herning, Fredriskhavn an Naestved not only in battle for the World Champion title but also for a spot in the handball tournament on the Olympic Games in Rio.

The qualifications have already been played in Africa, and Tunisia, the Democratic Repulic of the Congo and Angola have secured their spot on IHF’s premier event. Norway as European Champion and Denmark as host are also qualified just as well as Brazil who will defend the World Champion title in Denmark.
