All around the world millions of sports fans were following the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio and in total 6,149,289 tickets were sold, which is about 90% of the available tickets. Good news for handball – according to statistics published by the Brazilian newspaper O Globo, handball was only beaten by football in terms of sold tickets.
