Dear Handball Friends in Bosnia-Herzegovina and all over the world, For the first time ever since their independence, Bosnia-Herzegovina is the organizer of a major handball event. The cities of Sarajevo, Ljubuški, Zenica & Banja Luka will be hosting the Men’s Junior World Championship. Especially Sarajevo, 1984 Olympic Winter Games hosting city, and Banja Luka are a major part of handball history: Their teams & players were on top of the world – but still nowadays Bosnia-Herzegovina is a hub for handball in this region. Now the Handball Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina will show their sporting & organizational skills in hosting this huge event. We will see the best 24 men’s junior teams from all over the world. It will be highly interesting to see how those players have developed since the 2011 Youth WCh in Argentina. So the importance of this tournament is not only shown in results and medals, but it will also highly boost the next handball generation.
